EgyptAir, the national airline of Egypt, is based in Cairo and is wholly owned by the Egyptian government operating scheduled passenger and freight services to more than 75 destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. With an extensive network of domestic services focused on Cairo, Egypt's capital, the airline is working to regain profitable operations following the revolution of 2011. The airline was established on 7 June 1932 and was the first airline in the Middle East to operate jet liners. As of June 2017, the EgyptAir mainline fleet (excluding EgyptAir Express and EgyptAir Cargo) consists of the following aircraft: 12-A320's, 4-A321's, 6-A330's, 24-B737-800's and 6-B777-300's.
