Fast comfortable coach services connect the airport with Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

Introduction

Brisbane Airport is served by train, taxi and bus.

Taxi

Taxis wait at ranks outside the terminal buildings.

At the International Terminal the taxi rank is outside Arrivals on Level 2.

At the Domestic terminal there are two taxi ranks, one outside the Qantas section and one outside the Virgin Blue section.

Train

Train services both connect the two airport terminals and link the airport with the local region.

Airtrain services operate along a dedicated railway line that is elevated some way above the ground, giving it the appearance of a monorail. Along this line go services between the terminals, which are scheduled to run every 15 minutes on weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings, and to similar frequencies on weekends. Services take three minutes to get from one terminal to another.

Frequent services connect the airport with Brisbane city centre; these operate on both weekdays and weekends, sometimes to a 15 minute schedule, and have a typical journey time of 22 minutes. Services that connect the airport with the Gold Coast are somewhat less frequent; they operate on both weekdays and weekends, and have a typical journey time of about an hour and a half.

At the Domestic Terminal the railway station is located directly outside the terminal building and may be reached by lift, escalator or walkway.

At the International Terminal the railway station is located directly outside the terminal. A covered walkway links the station with the terminal's Mezzanine level, which is one floor down from Departures and one floor up from Arrivals.
