Chicago Airport Currency Exchange
Chicago is located in the United States and as such uses the standard US Dollar. You do not need to change money if you are coming from elsewhere in the States.
For visitors from outside of the United States, you will need to acquire US Dollars. There are plenty of ATMs to withdraw money if your own bank allows that, or look for a Money Exchange/Bureau de Change office at the airport, in larger hotels and in many downtown locations.
There are 100 cents to 1 dollar. A dollar is often known as a buck. Coins available are 1 cent, often called a penny; 5 cents, known as a nickel; 10 cents, called a dime, 25 cents, known as a quarter and 50 cents, or a half-dollar. US Dollar notes, or bills, all look very similar, so do check carefully before you hand over your cash and when getting change in shops, bars and restaurants.
