Introduction
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is the busiest airport in the Middle East and one of the fastest growing airports in the world. Around 25 million passengers used the airport in 2005, reflecting the rapid rise in tourism to the Gulf state in recent years. DXB Airport is targeting an annual figure of 45 million passengers by 2030.

Dubai International Airport has two departure terminals, both handling scheduled, charter and executive flights for around 80 airlines to over 100 destinations. Most major airlines arrive at Terminal 1. The Departures Hall provides 221 check-in desks with state-of-the-art 42 inch plasma screen providing bilingual displays of flight and check-in information (Emirates First and Business Class passengers have separate, dedicated check-in facilities).
