London Stansted Airport Terminal Information
Terminal
London Stansted Airport (STN) has one terminal. Since it opened in 1991 the terminal has won much praise for its design, which was by Norman Foster Associates. In response to rising passenger numbers airport authorities have recently initiated work on a new terminal, which will stand alongside the old.
The Terminal
The terminal offers check-in, ticketing and information facilities. To board their flights passengers must leave the main part of the terminal and use a small internal transit train to reach the various concourses in which the boarding gates are located.
The terminal has a variety of snack bars, bars, newsstands and shops. It also offers currency exchange offices and ATMs (cash machines). Conference rooms are available in a nearby building.
The terminal at London Stansted Airport (STN) serves a large number of destinations and many airlines. The latter include Cosmos, EasyJet, El Al Israel Airlines, Iceland Express, Inghams, Ryanair, Thomas Cook Holidays and Unijet.
