London Stansted Airport Ground Transportation
Introduction
London Stansted Airport (STN) is served directly by train, coach (long distance bus), and taxi.
Train
The railway station at the airport is situated directly beneath the passenger terminal building, a location that allows passengers to get to and from train services quickly and easily.
Frequent services connect the airport with Liverpool Street station in the centre of London . Many passengers use the Stansted Express train service, which has a typical journey time to Liverpool Street of about 40 minutes.
Train services also connect the airport with other stations, including Cambridge , Peterborough , Birmingham , and many other stations in north London and Essex.
Buses (Coaches)
Companies operating long distance buses from the airport usually describe them as coaches.
Coach stops are located in front of the terminal building. Frequent coach services connect the airport with central London . Some of these terminate at London Victoria where the coach station is a major terminus, and is approximately 20 minutes walk from an important railway station.
Direct services connect Stansted with the other principal London airports, Heathrow and Gatwick, and with many other places around the country, including Norwich and Cambridge.
Taxis
A taxi service may be contacted from a helpdesk in the International Arrivals hall. Wheelchair accessible cars are also available.
