Introduction
Seoul Gimpo Airport (GMP) is the domestic airport for the capital city of South Korea, located kilometers west of Seoul and directly connected to major access routes such as the Olympic Expressway towards Northern and Central Seoul, and the south circular road.
The airport of Seoul Gimpo, formerly called Kimpo International, was replaced by Incheon Airport as Seoul’s principal international airport in 2001. Now the only overseas route from Gimpo Airport is to and from Tokyo International Airport.
Seoul’s second airport features a high level of amenities and services expected of an international airport. The 'Sky City' terminal complex provides a range of traveler amenities including numerous shops, restaurants and bars, as well as essential facilities for business, disabled and leisure travelers.
