Winnipeg International Airport (YWG) Terminal Information
Winnipeg Airport (YWG) terminal complex is designed on three levels: the ground level is for Arrivals, second level for Departures and the third level houses the observation lounge. Open 24 hours a day, Winnipeg Airport (YWG) provides a range of amenities and services including express check-in kiosks, ATMs, foreign currency exchange, restaurants, cafeterias, Palliser® travel lounge, duty free shopping center, newsagent, gift shop washrooms, tourist information desk, children's play area, mailbox and telephones for the hearing impaired. Special needs assistance is available.
An Airport Site Redevelopment program at Winnipeg Airport - due for completion in 2008 - will comprise a new 60,000 square meter airport terminal to be located northeast of the existing terminal.
Shopping
Winnipeg Airport is notable for its range of quality souvenirs, handmade crafts, sculptures, art and giftware crafted by Aboriginal and Inuit artists. Winnipeg Airport (YWG) also showcases unique items from Manitoba’s arts and cultural community, plus a Mordens Chocolate store.
Duty Free
Aer Rianta Duty Free shops are located on both levels of the terminal.
Gift Shops
Many shops such as The Thoughtful Touch, Showcase Manitoba, The Canadian Scene and Relay, Virgin Books & Music, and Bentley are located on the main and 2nd levels of the terminal. Tropical Aqua Massage offer pre or post-flight massage.
Restaurants and Bars
The Winnipeg Airport food court offers several dining options, including two outlets of Tim Hortons (located on the ground level and the second level of the terminal), Harvey’s Serving Swiss Chalet Chicken and Second Cup Coffee, located on the 2nd level.
Business Services
Internet Access
Mail Boxes Etc., Canada’s largest franchise chain of business and communication service centers, offers Internet access. Dataport / modem equipped payphones are located in all areas of the terminal.
Fax and Photocopying
Mail Boxes Etc. offers services such as digital printing, faxing, and document assembly and finishing.
Post
A mailbox is located directly opposite the passenger entrance on level two.
Currency Exchange and ATMs
Foreign Exchange Desks
Travelex (located on the 2nd floor mezzanine level) offers currency exchange and insurance services.
Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)
There are cash machines located on the main floor, at either end of the terminal. Another machine is located on the 2nd level, just before the entrance to the Departure lounges.
Extra Traveler Facilities
Airline Lounges
The travel lounge by Palliser® is located on the 2nd floor past Central Security. It is open daily to ticket holders.
Tourist Information
The Goldwing Ambassadors (wearing gold vests with Goldwing Ambassador logos) provide assistance to the airport patrons. For more information about Goldwing services, or airport tours, contact the Coordinator of Volunteers at +1 204 987 2027.
Elevators
Elevators are located on both levels of the terminal.
Telephone Booths
Telephones for the hearing impaired are located on all floors, in both public and secure areas of the terminal.
